Installation Instructions
- Proper sizing is important for the efficient operation of the unit. (Consult your dealer for proper sizing)
- The ZetaCore unit must be grounded according to the earth grounding specifications included in these instructions.
- The ZetaCore must not be exposed to freezing.
- When installing below ground level be sure that the ZetaCore unit does not come in contact with the surrounding soil. This could interfere with the earth grounding.
- The ZetaCore unit should not come in direct contact with any types of metal pipes or fittings. (i.e. brass, copper, galvanized steel, etc.). Use dielectric fittings if needed.
- When installing the 2” and smaller ZetaCore units it is recommended to use unions (for copper use dielectric unions ) on both ends. This will facilitate an easy removal and replacement if the unit needs servicing.
- When installing the flanged 3” and larger ZetaCore units into any type of steel, copper or brass pipe or fittings, dielectric bolt & gasket kits must be used.
- The ZetaCore catalytic conditioner can be installed vertically or horizontally.
- It is recommended that a licensed professional install the ZetaCore unit.
- After installation a DC milli-voltage check must be preformed. This is done by attaching the black lead of the volt meter to the earth ground and the red lead of the volt meter to a ZetaCore lug. There should be no other wires connected to the ZetaCore during this test. The DC voltage reading needs to be a minimum of 300 milli-volts. If the reading is lower than 300 milli-volts then consult your ZetaCore dealer about resolving this problem.
